Here are some shots of the stereo system... To see how i built the new stereo system box CLICK HERE, and check out the installation pics and step-by-step of how i did things.

Start off with the source of it all.. The head unit is an Alpine CDA-7977. This is probably the best head unit that I have ever used in a car and will probably be there till it dies or I sell my truck.

I also flush mounted the head unit in the dash using a piece of black Plexiglas.
There used to be a 'clip' hook of some kind where the switches are now. It was made out of a piece of ABS plastic and was cut to fit the three switches to act as amp "turn offs". It was painted to match the same color as the center console. Simply set up, the left switch controls the left speakers, center switch controls the subs, and the right switch controls the right side of the truck.
A 4 gauge wire comes from the stock battery to a distribution block. From there the power goes to 3 MTX Thunder225HO amps. These amps are rated at 25x1 @ 4ohm, but they are bridged down to 700x1 @1ohm.

The power from these amps goes to: Middle Amp goes to 4 MTX Thunder 7000 10" subs. Left & Right Amps go to a JL 5 1/4" kick panel set(see below) and JL 1" tweeters (see below).

Note: This is not finished.
JL 5 1/4" kick panels made from the factory kick panels. The door speakers have been shut off so this provides the main sound for the front of the truck.
JL 1" tweeters molded into the factory side panels of the truck. These provide the high end sounds for the front of the truck.
Here is an outside shot of the inside of the truck. Still with the front seats ripped out of the truck (of course).
